Rudi's Organic Bakes an Incredible Array of Wholesome Bread Products in their Dairy-Free Facility

Rudi's Organic English Muffins - Dairy-Free and VeganAlisa Fleming ~ Like many people, the concept of dairy-free used to be quite simplified in my head; it meant no milk, butter, ice cream, or cheese. But dairy-free living extends far beyond these basic foods. Milk ingredients are used in so many everyday processed foods, from granola bars to packaged meats to bread. Yes, even bread.

Some people wonder why I include bread recipes in Go Dairy Free. Next time you go to the grocery store, check the ingredient statements on the various brands of bread. When I went strictly dairy-free, there wasn’t a loaf in town that didn’t contain milk in some form. I had to learn to bake, and I knew that others would, too.

Dairy-containing bread still abounds, but fortunately a few companies have sprung up in recent years with bread that I can safely sink my teeth into when convenience is in order. One of my newest loves, Rudi’s Bakery, goes above and beyond; baking all of their bread products in a dedicated dairy-free facility (they are also peanut-free!) ...

On our recent move to the northwest, we found ourselves in a transition week without food, energy, or a fully functioning kitchen. That’s when I discovered Rudi’s Organic 100% Whole Wheat Bread on sale. It was fluffier than my homemade loaves (I love hearty bread!), but still quite good. Each morning we enjoyed some toast with nut butter, and happily made our way through two entire loaves. So I was eager to trial a few other Rudi’s products when their team contacted me.

I chose to taste-test two types of the English Muffins, since so many brands contain milk and I have trouble finding whole grain versions. My first choice was the Spelt English Muffins … I simply love spelt … but their new Harvest Seeded English Muffins sounded intriguing too.

We really enjoyed the spelt muffins, but as it turned out, the Harvest Seeded English Muffins were our favorite. Both varieties had an equivalent whole grain flavor with a texture that was just fluffy enough to qualify as an English muffin, but the little seeds in the Harvest Seeded won us over …

I also had the opportunity to trial Rudi’s Spelt Tortillas. They were of course heartier and a tad less flexible than regular flour tortillas, but I still managed to wrap up some Thai Peanut Wraps for lunch without making a mess.

And they sliced beautifully too …

I still love making my own spelt tortillas, but these were pretty excellent, and of course perfectly round, which my homemade versions never seem to be. In a pinch, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase these.

Rudi’s bakery churns out a large variety of breads, buns, rolls, bagels, tortillas/wraps, and English muffins. Rudi’s traditional bakery products are all organic, but they also offer an entire gluten-free line. You can usually find their products in natural food stores, but many traditional grocers also carry this rapidly growing brand.

Be sure to check the Rudi’s Bakery website (www.rudisbakery.com) for information on all of their products and to see if they have any printable coupons!

Is organic milk is safer than conventional milk?

Use strict about organic milk only, buy a few years ago, but finally I stopped due to an increase in cost. Purchases of organic milk made it seems to me to properly support the information about the goods, the agricultural policies, and I thought, my body put foods on the cleaner was.

Now, in 2011, it shows us the conventional milk supply and farming practices are being cleaned. So should we buy organic or conventional milk?

Did you know that most all of the milk is antibiotic free? There are strict rules regarding the testing, and in most countries. If the cow requires antibiotics for disease and disability, cow milking, either delete or processed and no antibiotics when the milking, discovered the cow no longer returns back.

First of all, the cows will produce a small number of animals of the bovine somatotropin-releasing hormone, which causes the production of milk. But in 1994, produced the first artificial growth from Monsanto hormone, rBGH or rBST. in 2000, more than 25 countries banned rBGH. United States has banned rBGH milk, but the majority of the farmers do not use it for public demand. United States, it is expected that around 5% to 15% of the farmers continue to use rBGH. Although the FDA says rBGH milk is safe, I can prevent it.

So if you can buy the hormone and antibiotic free of conventional milk, essence-in-hand with farming practices. Most of the milk must come from the small farmers. All farms, of which mostly are not 100% grass-fed dairy cows.Organic cows not fed GMO foodstuffs. organic agriculture farms does not use synthetic chemicals, which may end up in the milk.Organic cows are treated in a higher quality, but it is difficult to know how this is "high quality".Some researchers speculate that the quality of organic milk is higher and higher in omega-3.

It is really a personal decision, you can choose from organic or conventional milk or not. A little taste of one of the priority work. Regardless of whether the skimmed milk is a high-quality protein, calcium and healthy drink in Moderation is a good source. For me, I will try to buy organic when I can. What about you?

Alisa Fleming of the concept of people such as ~ dairy products free to use my head is a very simplified; It is implied that the milk, butter, ice cream or cheese. But in milk products, the free-living extends these basic foods. Milk ingredients are used in so many of the everyday processed food, packaged granola bars, bread, beef and veal. Yes, even if the bread.

Some people wonder why I can add bread recipes, go to the Dairy-free. The next time when you go to the grocery store, please check the ingredient statements on different brands of bread. When I went to a strictly products of milk of which the city freely, and did not include milk, some form of food, not the industry. I had to learn to bake and knew that others should too.

Milk products, bread, still abounds, but fortunately, a few companies have grown in recent years, the bread that I sink into my teeth into account safely and, when the subscription is configured. One of my most recent love, Rudi's bakery in, above and beyond; It is dedicated to all milk products free port (they are also the peanut free!) for their bread.

Our recent Move to the Northwest, we found ourselves without food, energy, or a fully functioning kitchen in the transition to a week. When I got Rudi n organic whole wheat bread, 100%, for sale. It was a fluffier than my home-made Italian loaves areas (I love hearty bread!), but still pretty good. In the morning We enjoyed some toast, butter, nuts, and make our way across the two happy Italian loaves areas. So I was eager to trial with a few other products for the the n Rudi when their team contact me.
Taste-Test of two kinds of switch to English muffins, because so many characters, contain milk and I'm having trouble finding whole grain versions. My first option was to Spelt English Muffins … I simply love the spelt … but their new Yield Seeded English Muffins sounded intriguing too.

We really enjoyed spelt muffins, but as it turns out the English Muffins were harvest in Seeded with our favorite. Both had a variety of match-whole grain, texture, taste, which was just enough to qualify as an English muffin fluffy but little seeds, harvest, won the us more than … Seeded

I was also a trial version Rudi n spelt Tortillasopportunity. They are of course more flexible, less tad and heartier than regular Flour Tortillas, but I managed to wrap up some Thai still peanut wraps for lunch without making a mess.

And they sliced nicely too. …

I am still doing my own spelt Tortillas, but they were quite excellent, and, of course, perfectly round, that never in my home-made versions seem to be. Pinch does not hesitate to buy these.

Rudi's bakery, breads, and a wide range of very churns buns, rolls, bagels, Tortillas and wraps and English Muffins out.
